Lawrence J. Block U.S. Court of Federal Claims |
In 1987, Judge Block was awarded the Attorney General's Special
Achievement Award for an article entitled "A New Look At Plurality
Decisions", which was published in March of 1988. From 1994-2002, Judge Block served as Senior Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he worked on a number of significant issues including property rights legislation, punitive damages and class action court reform bills, the cost-benefit analysis regulatory reform act, tobacco policy, litigation and arbitration policy, and First Amendment, privacy and attendant constitutional issues arising out of high technology legislation and governmental programs. |

Jay S. Bybee US Court of Appeals ninth circuit |
He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
President Bush nominated him for the court of appeals in 2003.
The senate approved his nomination with a 74-19 vote.
Critics labeled him an extremist who takes an overly limited view of federal power vis-à-vis the

Bush on July 25, 2002 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on ,November 14, 2002 by. Bush nominated Jordan to the Third Circuit on June 28, 2006 .Jordan is the sixth judge appointed to the Third Circuit by Bush. | ||

Rex Lee (1935-1996) US Solicitor General |
During Reagan's first term, he argued 30 cases before
the
Supreme court as solicitor general. He also argued 59 cases as a
private
attorney. He accepted the presidency of BYU on one condition: that he
could still argue in his spare time! Well, he found enough time to do
so
on nine occasions while he was president of BYU.

Levi Stewart Udall | Levi Stewart Udall January 20, 1891 -
May 30, 1960 was a Lawyer who served as Chief Justice of the Arizona
Supreme Court .
In 1946 he was elected to the Arizona Supreme Court, and remained a Justice of that court from 1947 until his death. From 1951-52 and 1957-58 he served as the Chief Justice of that court. In 1960 he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Arizona. He died on May 30th of that year. |
