He is Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Black & Decker Corporation. In 1985 he joined Black & Decker as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director, and in 1986 became the youngest Chief Executive Officer of a Fortune 500 company. He was elected to the additional post of Chairman in December 1986.
