Remember the O’Leary’s? The lovable father and son team that competed on The Amazing Race twice, and are the winners of season 24? Well, the son, Connor, is launching a new project that he’s been working on 
for some time. Wanaka Outdoors is a new outdoor and sporting good company that will soon be launching their flagship product, a backpack, on Kickstarter.
Wanaka Outdoors promises to be full of innovative travel gear that can do more and is extremely utilitarian. Throughout their travels and time on The Amazing Race, the O’Leary’s realized that the travel gear you use to get the destination is often a lot different than the gear you need when you actually get there. They wanted to create products that could do both and having been working for a long time to do just that.
The Wanaka Outdoors backpack looks to be extremely functional for the avid adventurer.
While the company hasn’t officially launched, they’ve been teasing their flagship backpack and its impending launch on the fundraising website Kickstarter. The backpack looks to be just what the avid adventurer needs and boasts at being 9 bags in one: Backpack, dry bag, camera case, hydration pack, laundry bag, cooler, fanny pack, sling and compression bag. A short video on the Wanaka Outdoors website and Facebook page show the many possibilities and uses that the bag has.
The backpack isn’t available quite yet, but interested parties can sign up for more information on the Wanaka Outdoors website and get a sneak peak of it in action on their Facebook and Instagram pages. If you’re a traveler or outdoors enthusiast, this new pack might just be the thing for you! There’s also the option to sign up for a special early bird discount and get notified when the product finally launches!
