Robert Clive Jones

Robert Clive Jones is a Senior United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. From 2011-2014 he served as the Chief United States District Judge.

Jones is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. He attended Brigham Young University after growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. From there, he attended the UCLA School of Law. From 1971-1972 Jones served in the United States Army National Guard and in the United States Air National Guard from 1972-1977. He served an LDS mission in Japan.

President George W. Bush nominated Jones in 2003 to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. He was unanimously confirmed and eventually achieved senior status in 2016.
