Joe Lee, a legendary Utah radio news anchor for more than 40 years, retired in 1987. With a near perfect deep voice and articulation, he worked for KDYL, KNAK, KCPX and KBUG. He also did many radio and TV commercials In retirement, Lee kept busy recording voice-overs, even in the weeks preceding his death. He also did the Brigham Young University Cougars’ first-ever basketball broadcast in 1948. (KSL didn’t tape BYU broadcasts until the early 1950s.) From the Deseret News
