Claire Ryann Crosby is most known for her adorable videos where she sings duets with her dad, Dave Crosby. She has achieved worldwide fame because of her ability to remember all of the words to songs, her pure voice, perfect pitch, and mostly her comprehension and sensitivity to what she is singing. Her fame will continue to grow as she performs in her first movie. The movie is called “The Little Mermaid” and is a twist on the classic tale that is known and loved. She was only 3 when the movie was filmed but she had the opportunity to work alongside William Moseley (“The Chronicles of Narnia”), and Shirley MacLaine (“Valentine’s Day”).
The Little Mermaid
The movie is based loosely on the story by Hans Christian Anderson’s novel. It is about a young reporter, Cam, who is looking for a good story to write. He brings his sister, Elle, to the circus where they encounter a mermaid. What starts as a good story soon turns into an adventure as Cam and Elle learn about a prophesy where a girl is born on land with the heart of a mermaid. They learn about a wizard’s plot to keep the mermaid and harness her powers. It is an action-adventure movie that brings the classic story to life in a different way. It will be exciting to see Claire’s role in the film.

Claire made her first YouTube video, “Part of Your World,” when she was just 3 years old which got 16 million views on YouTube. Her duet of Randy Newman’s song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” is what helped Claire become famous. After receiving over 150 million views online Claire and her dad were invited on Ellen for the first time. She has appeared on Ellen multiple times and has also been invited on the show Little Big Shots and was featured on The Voice. Her YouTube channel has 1 million subscribers and is still growing. The channel includes videos of Claire talking, family vacations, and videos of Claire and Dave singing.
“The Little Mermaid” is set to come out in August of this year. Claire was also invited to be a part of a live-action version of Anastasia which is being filmed and will come out in the future. 5-year old Claire has already had a full last couple of years with many adventures to come.
